Queens, Hookers and Hustlers

Queens, Hookers and Hustlers: Stolen from Max Friedman's and in distribution courtesy of Not Yr Cister Press, Queens, Hookers and Hustlers is an important part of history often overlooked. It is a history of gender variant sex workers, circa 1950-1970, organizing for survival and their subsequent revolt. Valerie Queen of NYCP writes an introduction for this zine, explaining the importance of the history while simultaneously emphasizing what is problematic with the text. QHH shares the stories and struggles of the woman that pioneered the gay rights movement bringing attention to the powerful people in the struggle for civil rights.
