Secondhand Emotion: A zine about love, anxiety, gender, race and feelings
A vulnerable zine about love, anxiety, race and feelings that I think a lot of us can relate to. Cassandra exposes the most tender parts of herself through writing candidly about her anxiety around romance and the difficulty navigating love and sex as a feminist women of color in radical spaces. Cassandra talks about her family, her ideas around women and friendship as well as finding ways to feel good about her self and her body. Honest to the core leaving you full of good feelings!

Secondhand Emotion issue number two: let's get really real
Secondhand Emotion navigating the politics of attraction in late capitalism through a nihilistic feminist lens issue number two: let's get really real is a "(mostly) perzine dedicated to analyzing cultural anxiety around romantic love from an intersectional feminist lens " written from the perspective of a cis black first-generation working poor woman. issue number two: let's get really real is a little darker than the first issue, dealing with heavy topics such as politics of desire and white supremacy, rape and coercive assault, and power inequalities. i admire cassandra's writing for its honesty, she writes about healing and boundary setting with a critical, but inspiring lens, and i love her humor of the headaches of trying to navigate romantic love in a city as large as NYC. if you haven't read either issues of Secondhand Emotion yet, you're missing out!! - text heavy, 48 pages
